Mosaic Class Terms and Conditions
Bookings, Cancellations and Transfers
Your child must be at least 5 and a half years old to attend a mosaic class.
Childen between 5.5 and 6 years must complete a shape recommended for their age range. These shapes are indicated on the shapes lists.
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. Bookings must be made online. If your payment does not process correctly, we will notify you and any Payment not received within 24 hours of your notice will result in your enrolment being cancelled. You will then need to re-enrol and you may miss out.
Bookings may be transferred to another available class if more than 7 days' notice is given.
If you cannot make it to your reserved class, you are welcome to send another child in your place. We do welcome notification, but please be aware that the mosaic shape choice may not be able to be changed.
A refund will only be applied to cancellations where more than 7 days notice is given, or if we are able to replace your booking.
Cancellations are refunded to a maximum of $60.00 to reflect the preparation costs associated with your booking.
We do not issue refunds once the class has commenced.
Workshed Mosaics reserves the right to alter or cancel a class. If a class is cancelled for any reason a choice of rescheduling or full refund will be given.
Minimum numbers apply to run classes. If minimum numbers are not met, the class may be cancelled. At least 72 hours notice will be given and a choice of rescheduling for a later date or a full refund will be offered.
If a class is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control we are not responsible for any costs, damages or expenses that you may suffer or incur.
Please inform us of any dietary requirements when making a booking. Workshed Mosaics is not an allergen-free environment and while we will make every effort, we cannot guarantee that your child will not ingest or encounter an allergen. Please refer to our Allergen information at the bottom of this page.
Please advise of any Medical condition or ability issues that we should be aware of. It is important that you discuss any issues with us by phone so that we can decide if we are able to accommodate them.
Mosaic Class Attendance
We do not allow Parents or Guardians to stay for the duration of the class.
A Parent (or an allocated responsible adult) must be contactable at ALL times via mobile phone for the duration of the class.
Photographs may be taken during the classes and used for marketing or promotional purposes. Photos showing children will only be used by us with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Classes will start on time. We allow children to enter 10 minutes prior to the start of the class once they have been signed in by a Parent or Guardian.
Workshed Mosaics reserves the right to contact the parents of any child who is behaving erratically, or exhibiting threatening or unruly behaviour during the class and request that they be removed from the class.
We request that all Parents and Guardians take care when parking and driving through the carpark.
Mosaic Class Sign in and Sign Out
As a security measure and to facilitate the on-time commencement and finish of classes, we require that Parents / Guardians sign their children in at drop-off, and out on pick-up.
On arrival to the class there will be a check-in table at the entryway. Check in commences 10 minutes prior to the class commencing.
Please check that your Emergency Contact details are correct and sign in for all children that you are leaving in our care.
If you are designating a different person to pick up the child/children, we ask that you advise us at this time.
After signing in, your child/children can enter the classroom and find their place. Parents and Guardians are asked to say their farewells at this time and not enter the classroom.
At pick-up, there will be a check-out table at the entryway (near where photographs of the mosaics are taken). Check out will commence at the end of the class.
We request that you (or your designated Guardian) signs out the child/children that they are picking up..
Mosaic shape changes
We charge $10.00 to make any change to a mosaic shape.
Changes can only be made up to 3 days prior to a class running.
Release of Liability
When participating in a mosaic class or event, whereby the student/participant will be in the presence of mosaics materials, tiles, mirror, glass, mosaic tools and other sharp objects, the guardian releases, indemnifies and excludes Paul and Elizabeth Petale, The Petale Family Trust, Workshed Mosaics and its contractors and employees from any and all liability of any kind for any damage or injury incurred while attending, participating in a class or visiting Workshed Childrens Mosaics. The guardian understands these terms and conditions and accepts the inherent risks of an art environment when they make a full payment for a class or event.
Workshed Mosaics will take all necessary care, but accepts no responsibility for the damage to or loss of property left in the venue prior to, during or after a class or event. Workshed Mosaics is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items in any form.
Allergen Information
We serve the following complementary snacks during our classes as a courtesy, it is not included in the price of the workshop.

Cadbury Drinking Chocolate - Ingredients: Sugar, Cocoa powder, Starch (Maize or Tapioca), Mineral Salt (501), Flavour. Drinking Chocolate contains Cocoa Solids 21%. Allergen: May contain traces of wheat, milk, sesame seeds, soy and tree nuts
Full Cream Dairy Milk - Allergen: Contains milk
Arnotts Family Assorted Biscuits - Ingredients: Wheat Flour, Sugar, Vegetable Oil (Contains: Soy), Butter (From Milk), Golden Syrup, Coconut, Rolled Oats, Cocoa, Salt, Condensed Milk, Baking Powder, Eggs, Milk Powder, Food Colour (Caramel III), Flavours (Natural), Arrowroot Flour. Allergen: Contains Milk, Contains Oats, May Be Present Sesame, Contains Egg, Contains Soy, May Be Present Nuts, Contains Wheat
Sliced red apple (seasonal) - Pink Lady, Red Delicious, Fuji, Jazz, Royal Gala
Whilst we do take care not to serve food containing peanuts or other nut products, please be aware that we cannot guaruantee a complete nut free environment. If your child has a food allergen, you can send them with their own snack and drink which we can store in the refrigerator.
Epipens: If your child has an allergy that could require the use of an epipen, please inform us ahead of time in the allergen statement during your booking and include an emergency mobile phone contact number. Please label your epipen with your child's name and when you drop them off, please make sure to let the teacher know your childs allergy and where the epipen will be kept for easy access. If usage is required, we are able to administer an epipen shot.
