COVID-19 policy
Workshed Mosaics’ COVID-19 policy for school incursions and classes.
Please note: Both Paul and Lisa have been double-vaccinated.
School incursions
If Workshed Mosaics is contracted to provide a mosaic incursion workshop at a school, we take no responsibility for the cleanliness of the area being provided.
It is up to the school provider to ensure a satisfactory level of cleanliness of surfaces, including working areas, toilets and recreation facilities.
We will comply with every school’s COVID-19 protection plans and ensure our own personal hygiene is maintained with PPE. This includes wearing face masks and regularly sanitising hands.
All materials are prepared at least 2 days before the event to ensure no cross-contamination occurs, and all our equipment is exclusively handled by us and regularly cleaned.
Classes at the studio
Workshed Mosaics is committed to maintaining the highest COVID-19 hygiene standards at our studio, in line with all state and federal government regulations.
The cleaning regime instituted by Workshed Mosaics proprietors, Lisa and Paul Petale, includes regular sanitising of the workspace, toilet, and handwashing facilities.
Other COVID-safe measures to note:
Workshed Mosaics is responsible for all materials provided for the workshop.
Lisa and Paul work separately between two groups, with a maximum of 15 children in each group.
Children are seated socially distanced.
Masks are always worn by adult workers and visitors.
All materials are prepared at least 2 days before the event to ensure good hygiene.
There are no shared tools.
Each table has its own hand sanitiser.
Lisa and Paul use hand sanitiser throughout the sessions, and all participants are requested to use hand sanitiser before sessions commence.
Children are supplied with their own glue bottle, placemat, and carry box.
Lisa and Paul will handle glue bottles infrequently but there is no sharing of items between children.
Work placemats, glue bottles, and all equipment will be sanitised before each session.
Lisa and Paul direct the children to use hand sanitiser at the end of the session, after using sponges and cleaning cloths.
Sponges have a rinsing bucket, which uses a COVID-safe disinfectant additive.
Tissues are supplied for each group and are disposed of in secure and frequently cleaned bins.
We ask that any children feeling unwell or displaying symptoms of a cold, flu, or fever do not attend the session.
Cancellations due to illness
Bookings may be transferred to another available class if your child is unable to attend because of an illness.
If you cannot make it to your reserved class, you are welcome to send another child in your place. We do welcome notification, but please be aware that the mosaic shape choice may not be able to be changed.
A refund will only be applied to cancellations where more than 3 days notice is given, or if we are able to replace your booking.
Cancellations are refunded to a maximum of $60.00 to reflect the preparation costs associated with your booking.
